Technologies in Brain Cancer Challenge

We hope that you will be able to join us for this exciting Challenge on Technologies in Brain Cancer, co-hosted by the Biointerfaces Institute and the BioInnovations in Brain Cancer on December 3 and 4 at the North Campus Research Complex.

The goal of this 2-day Challenge is to bring together clinicians, scientists and engineers to explore new ideas and catalyze interdisciplinary collaborative research to address challenges in brain cancer therapy. The Challenge will kick off on Friday afternoon and include a series of scientific talks (open to all UM individuals), followed by an evening reception and Saturday breakout sessions (both limited to UM Faculty and senior researchers) to identify clinical challenges and technological opportunities relevant to these areas.

Seed funds will be available for collaborative grant proposals that emerge from the Challenge. The seed fund competition is only open to UM Faculty Challenge participants. We will be sending a more detailed schedule soon and we look forward to seeing you on December 3 and 4!

The seminar presentations on Friday afternoon are open to all UM faculty/students/staff. The evening dinner and Saturday workshops are limited to UM Faculty and senior researchers.

COVID-19 safety measures: As per the University’s Covid-19 policy, masks will be required throughout the event unless actively eating or drinking. The dinner will be catered by Picasso, which follows all of the University’s safety policies, including staff being fully vaccinated and wearing masks. Dinner will be served by Picasso staff in the NCRC Dining hall to allow for distancing and ventilation. No more than four people will be seated at a table together.
