The BioInnovations in Brain Cancer (BIBC) Program is excited to announce the hiring of Dr. Spencer S. Watson as a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor.

Dr. Watson comes to us from CHUV Lausanne University Hospital, Switzerland, where he served as a Senior Research Fellow and Project Leader. His work centers on advancing the future of brain tumor research, with emphasis on the GBM immune microenvironment using cutting-edge spatial multi-omics and AI-driven digital pathology for next-generation tissue analysis and precision diagnostics.

He is the Founder of Watson Consulting (2020–Present), providing high-impact neuro-oncology expertise to biotech and non-profit organizations, including Lunaphore and 10x Genomics. He also served as Spatial Proteomics Lead in the Cancer Research UK iMAXT Consortium (2017–2023), where he managed a diverse 15-member interdisciplinary team and developed innovative 3D tumor models for virtual reality–based exploration and analysis.
